I am excited to announce that my son Michael Scott Coyne has released his first single under his stage name, Michael Scott: “Livid.”
Michael Scott is a singer-songwriter who is proficient in piano, ukulele, and guitar, and he has been honing his craft for years. He wrote “Livid” during the pandemic, and it captured the sense of frustration and alienation that so many of us were feeling during that time. Petronila features as a guest vocalist.

Stylistically, “Livid” is well outside the Country Universe, but Scott includes many country artists among his influences, including some who are quite familiar to the CU audience: Kane Brown, The Chicks, and Pam Tillis. Scott’s major musical influences also include Frank Ocean, Kate Bush, Chris Brown, and Panic at the Disco.
