Wanda Jackson covering Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good.”
Come on, now.
I’m all for staying relevant, and I’m a big fan of Jackson and her seminal rockabilly work. Jack White has proven himself able to help a legendary female country artist return to her roots, thanks to his seminal work with Loretta Lynn.
But this? It’s way too close to parody for my tastes. She’s mimicking Winehouse, not interpreting the song in her own way. It’s way too one-note and gimmicky for an artist of this stature.

I actually like this very much! I guess we will have to disagree on this one.
It’s not much of a song, also her voice has lost much of its tonal quality
I admit it’s not Wanda’s best moment, like the ones she had in her heyday. But at least it isn’t Sinatra butchering “Bad Bad Leroy Brown.” (LOL)
Useful to me. niouwhgfd
