I’ve never adjusted any of the labels that Itunes automatically puts on my music, but this follows the first ten I recieved when in the Country Genre list. I noticed that all my bluegrass is in the country list except one Ricky Skaggs album (though the rest of Ricky Skaggs Bluegrass Albums are in the country category), which sits alone in the Bluegrass Category.

Breathe – Taylor Swift (feat Colbie Caillat)
If I Should Fall Behind – Faith Hill
Well, the two Faith Hill tracks I don’t think I’ve ever heard, so that was disappointing. Out of 1581 country songs, this is what my iTunes came up with? I like all of them except the aforementioned Faith tracks, the first Paisley track, and the Andrews track. Those four I really don’t like…
From my iTunes (ergo my iPod “classic”) country music category of 7900 songs,
1. Already Gone – Sugarland
2. The Gambler – Blake Shelton
3. Sunday Morning – Elizabeth Cook
4. We’ll Meet Again – Johnny Cash
5. Honky Tonk Friends – Jason Michael Carroll

7. Without You – David Nail (the original Mercury album from 2002)
8. Best Days Of Your Life – Pickler and Swift
9. Passionate Kisses – Mary Chapin Carpenter
10. I Still Like Bologna – Alan Jackson
Well that was certainly an interesting list as it’s more ‘new country’ than I’d have expected to pop up. Still, not a bad list :) The Blake Shelton song is from the Cracker Barrel “Award-Winning” songs album.
Matt, I was interested in getting that Cracker Barrel album, but can’t bring myself to buy it from their website and pay shipping and handling and all.
Chris Knight, “The Hammer Going Down”
Bradley Walker, “I Never Go Around Mirrors”
Travis Tritt, “South Bound Train”
Patty Loveless, “The Pain Of Loving You”
Gretchen Peters, “This Town”
The Be Good Tanyas, “Dogsong 2”
Elizabeth Cook, “Always Tomorrow”
Hal Ketchum, “Mama Knows The Highway”
Mary Chapin Carpenter, “Outside Looking In”
Patty Loveless, “You Don’t Get No More”
My Ipod was on its best behavior today!
Leeann, I wouldn’t have that album if I wasn’t offered it for review back when I wrote for countrymusic.about.com. I lived in Seattle at the time and there sure as hell ain’t no Cracker Barrel stores here!
