At the time I write this comment, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert have both received 43 votes for Female. Interesting.
IMO, Keith Urban should be EOTY! Good Luck Keith! I certainly hope the award for Female Vocalist goes to Carrie Underwood. She runs rings around Taylor Swift, IMO!

I think will be tight between Miranda and Carrie, especially with Miranda winning the AOTY at the AMA’s, it has given her much due recognition. I like either to win they both would be great for young women in country and as long as it is not TS.
I’m liking these votes, although I think the Wreckers are a little unappreciated there songs are much more entertaining than Sugarland, although I will give Sugarland credit they did a nice job of bouncing back from “All I Want to Do” with “Already Gone”.

The Wreckers aren’t a true duo anymore. They have separate record deals. They shouldn’t have been nominated. Next year, Joey+Rory should be in the mix if their momentum continues…
^Yeah I had known that(which is sad considering they had potential), but aren’t they still eligible for this past year since they had been together? Or is that breaking CMA rules?
The Wreckers had a live album released in December 2007, and toured very sporadically last summer, so they were technically eligible. But that’s a big reach. Big & Rich barely showed on the radar as well. I expect B & D, Sugarland and MG to be back next year, and I’d be very surprised if Joey + Rory aren’t in the category as well. Combine the group and duo categorys, CMA!
Is it just me or lately has all of Rascal Flatts songs starting to sound the same as well as Taylor Swifts songs are all sung in monotone?? I do know that Carrie can outsing Taylor any day and I am rooting for Carrie in Female vocalist category and also for Little Big Town they deserve some kind of recognition and then maybe others would catch on to them IMO
