So who do you guys think should be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame? Here’s the list of nominees. Me, I’m leaning toward Matraca Berg and Johnny Horton.

I love Matraca Berg’s music, always have. John Scott Sherrill wrote Nothin’ But The Wheel which I adore. I don’t know enough about the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame though to venture a guess about who they will induct.
I do not know much about this Hall of Fame but since Dottie Rambo was not inducted until last year, it seems to me that they do not necessarily go for the best writers early on. I mean, she wrote umpteen great songs for years and years before she got in.
Guess I will go with Kye Fleming for this year. I like rooting for the underdogs.
I’m a big fan of Johnny Horton.
