What the heck is going on with this album artwork for the new Reba CD?
Who came up with the brilliant idea to take a quite stunning picture of Reba McEntire and put a ton of diagonal lines over it? This looks like something a seventh grader would do in Photoshop for their own amusement.
I agree, the picture itself would have been much better.
When does the album come out anyways?
The release date at the moment (these are ‘moveable feasts!) is 18 September. It’s a pity they don’t use a picture of her from the latest video clip ‘Because Of You’ in which looks particularly stunning.
Sorry about my last post. In the last sentence. I meant to say ‘ in which she (Reba) looks particularly stunning.
I just found your site this past weekend, and I love it.
I agree with this new cover. It reminds me of the newest Tony Bennett duets CD that came out last year where they digitized his face, except hers is less well done. Why would they even want a comparison to another duets CD though?
I think Reba should have come up with something more artistics like two birds or something since it’s a duets package. Some cool artist’s drawing versus a big picture of her face that looks like so many other albums. And to put those wretched lines on it? I don’t get it.
Two thoughts:
(a) I wish that cover was displayed that way on sites only so that people couldn’t copy/paste it and infringe on copyright, but I’m sure that’s not the case.
(b) I actually think she looks more attractive (and natural) in her 1990s album covers.
