1. I kinda agree. I think John needs to sway from the American pride stance with his music because its getting really old and boring. I thought this song would be inspiring, however it wasn’t really much at all. I turned it off after the first chorus because it was a bore. But I must give all due respect to the rock legend, he’s just singing about what he believes in.

   I think he needs to do better than this to compete with the crossover artists of today.

5. I have not heard the song but Mellencamp has more potential then to keep singing the same stuff over and over. It is cool too make songs about America every once in awhile, but back-to-back. It is like he does it every time. If he wants to stay in the country music business, he needs to make hits and not repeat the same stuff.
